Crazy question, and I’m sure it’ll cost an arm and a leg.

Say I wanted to swap out my basic cloth seats (2019 Big Horn) for, say, the really classy Built to Serve style seats (leather surround with a really nice textile in the middle.) Front and rear. Anyone done this?

I have the pretty much the same thing as you...Bighorn 2019...stiff cloth seats. Been looking for an option or even a cushioning cover for mine that won't cost half the price of my truck lol.

Katzkins cost about $500-600 if you can install yourself, around $1200 if you want it installed. Great covers.

Another one I was looking at was leatherseats.com.

When the time comes, though, I'll probably go with Katzkins.

I don't know if they do the original seats but Katzkin is the OEM supplier for leather seat covers if you order some at the dealership parts counter.

Pretty sure you can call them and they can customize it exactly how you'd like it and add logo's - more than what their website shows.

The dealership only sells the black leather seats. I think the RAM logo is stamped on it which is the only real benefit you'd get if you're looking at just black leather seats.

I don't think you can custom order any registered/trademarked logos if you go directly through Katzkin, but you have a lot more seat configuration options.

Looks like they make the ventilated covers too! I think I'd only get the covers if they add a little cushioning to the seats...damn cloth ones are stiff as particle board lol.

I did my own swap of factory cloth for Katzkin leather. Here is the original post if you want to see pics:

Katzkin Leather Install - Post #13

Not cheap, but way cheaper than having to buy a package just to get the leather seating. Also, this way you have a choice of colors and styles instead of just black.

I paid just a bit over $800 on eBay for two tone leather with the cooler perforated center sections. There are some cheaper sets out there, but probably just one color, no color piping/stitching, etc.

You can go full custom if you buy direct for Katzkin or a reseller, but expect starting prices around $1200 for custom colors/piping/stitching/logos. Be aware that Chrysler licenses their logos, so you probably can't buy them from a reseller, you would have to go to the dealer.

You can do this yourself if you have the time and patience to take careful notes and pics as you disassemble, so you can put it back the same way. A few tricks, like headrest covers you can pick up from YouTube. Only extra tools needed were hog rings and hog ring pliers, plus a star socket to get the rear seat out.

So Katzkin contacted me today and gave me a quote. 2019 Big Horn Crew Cab with heated front seats... everything installed plus labor was $1800 and change . As suspected, a bit steep for me so guess I’ll stick with the comfy cloth! Hey at least they stay warmer in the winter and don’t burn your legs in the summer...

Only thing I'd like is a vented seat cushion... Back and bottom. I'd be happy with that lol
I bought this seat cover, It's not as comfortable as the plain seat but man oh man... It will cool you off pretty quickly if you just did some work and got in a hot truck...

Just got a price from a Katzkin installer, $1399. I didn't price heated yet, but another site quoted $55 per seat. I'm expecting the total install to be between $1,500-$1,600.
