Has anybody else been bitten by the lock knob? That crap hurts. Anybody do anything about it? My wife got bit the other day and of course I "did it on purpose"

I've had a few passengers get it...I have not been bitten yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Not sure what you could do to prevent it other than somehow reprogram to turn off the auto lock feature

The preventative options are long sleeves and move the side up so the arm doesn’t go over the “teeth”

It is in your car setting, it will let you disable auto lock or unlock.

Every vehicle I've ever had that has these kinds of locks have bitten me. I've even been bitten by the kind by the doorhandles as well

Wow, did not know you could turn it off. I have been bitten a few times.

I've never been bitten by that. Not even sure how you get your arm in the position to have that happen. But sounds like it's pretty common. You could always just lock the doors yourself before you start driving, making sure your arm is clear first. Might want to warn the wife before you hit the button though.

It's happened to my wife twice in the last week. I don't know what she does to get her arm in that spot. I've never come close. I suggested she get in the habit of locking the door manually as soon as she sits down.

Good to hear, i always disable this function on any car that i own if system allow.

My wfe gets it all the time. Several other passengers have been subjected to it as well but I have never been bit.

Yep, and it leaves a nasty mark. My 2019 did and my 20 has already gotten 2 passengers. It is completely ridiculous that they keep that design flaw

Literally same thing happened to my wife. Kinda annoying that they don’t switch to the style that is next to the door handle.

Yes, unscrew them. Just as easy to reinstall if needed.
