What's the best bed step functionality option?

I need to install something to make getting up to the tailgate an easier task.
My RAM doesn't have the factory deployable bed step, so apparently that's...
Option 1. That's also the most expensive one, because just the part costs around 300 including tax on eBay.
Option 2 would be this
It's a long hitch step, it's around 150 bucks and installation is really easy compared to the OEM bed step. Downside I guess is, I will need to take it off if I need to use the hitch. It also seems it will rust and get stuck if I don't spray WD-40 regularly based on customers' feedback.
Option 3 is the cheapest
Downside is I will have to drill holes on the tailgate and the ladder will make the tailgate un-sit-able lol. Ladder will also be not very good if I park on rugged/rocky/unflat ground.

What would you recommend? Thanks

I have the mopar step and its worth it. Extremely well built. Uses your hitch bolts. Easy to deploy assisted retract.

When its up only a small black tab is visible.

Deployable step takes about 15 minutes to install via 3 bolts. Yeah it's pricey, but my 3 year old can climb in and out of the bed unassisted with it and the tailgate down. Works great.

I had Chevys in the past and the integrated bumper step was the best solution.

Short of that, get the Mopar step, it is a little pricey, but very well built, does not interfere with hitch access or operation and is virtually invisible when stowed. Best option out there.

I put in the bed step as well. If you want to have an assist with the tailgate down i think it is the best option. There is a 20% off any accessory coupon on the Ram website as well

Another vote for the Mopar bed step. Low profile when retracted and great position to step on/off the tailgate.

I didn't think much of it since it was on the truck when I bought it but but the more I use it the more I love it.

The first step looks like it hangs down pretty low. I would be worried about hitting it on speed bumps and especially if you went off road any.

I also have the MOPAR bed step. Here is a cheaper place to buy it if you decide to go with it.

Yeah I was going to purchase o e bit it doesnt ha e a place to put it I to a cart. It says call for availability. I noticed on a few other mopar parts sites it say to give them 7 to 10 weeks for delivery. Must be on back order.

Another vote for Mopar here. In the whole of things, the price is negligible.

Easy to install and use. Worth the cost.

Inventory and price is usually pretty good.

Mopar has a 15 % off coupon. If you can find it at the dealer. I don't know about back order . I got mine in December at my dealer.
