The process was flawless. I just did stock tune with MDS disabled for now and it’s so nice.
If anyone else is on the fence and can’t stand MDS kicking on and off, I’d highly recommend.

it’s also able to do things like tire size changes, cooling fan control temps, and had a throttle-boost featureid your into that stuff.

I’m new to this but, Is this the same as the pulsar which simply piggy backs off of the PCM? What are the benefits of buying a whole new PCM?

This is different from a piggyback.
The 2015+ pcms are locked, can’t be written without being modified. Once modified, you can use a handheld tuner, or install a custom tune if necessary. You can also do trans shift points, torque management, etc.

Did you use the security bypass module to install the tune. And do you have to leave it in after installing the tune.

Can you use this to tell the computer that OFF means OFF for the headlights? I have the LED lighting package and I can't seem to figure out how to turn OFF the headlights, marker lights, DTRLs and the LED strips. Very frustrating to have an OFF position on the switch that does not turn everything off.

It does engine tuning only. Lighting is body control module. You can disable DRL in Uconnect settings, but the led strips are always on...unless you use a taxer, alfaobd, or snip the wire!

It comes with a bypass. Once you install the tube, you can remove the bypass. If you ever want to plug back in to make a change, then you put the bypass back in.

Just an FYI that it will also cause warranty claim denials if the dealer so chooses. You can swap the original PCM back but then you get into a potential fraud area and I am sure the dealers are warned about this and what to look for that might point towards PCM swaps.

I realize if my motor blows up, I may not have a warranty.

I also realize if my wipers stop working, or my back window starts leaking, or my rear brakes keep squealing, it has nothing to do with a pcm.

Ok thanks I didn't see anything about that in the instructions. Now waiting for the dealership to get my new rear window in so I can get my truck back. Supposed to be in next week.

And the dealership has to prove that the mod actually causes the problem. Now if they see a Whipple supercharger on the engine then you're **** out of luck. The service department at my dealership seem to be pretty cool about stuff like that.

Guess I'm gonna have to look into those options (not cut the wire LOL) I like the lights most of the time but at 4ish am when I'm headed to deer blind I don't want light shining across the hillside.

They only have to prove it if you hire a lawyer. They realize most people will not or cannot afford to do this. It varies from dealership to dealership but you are still denied a warranty repair until your lawyer wins the case.

Tazer DT is a plug and play, fully reversible solution you may want to look into then.

Even Mopar sales stage 1,2,and 3 pcm’s for you to purchase and use on your vehicles. They're just not unlocked. You'll pay around 600. For the pcm. The Diablo is unlock and you can have a custom tune for it. No if they say you've bee drag racing it that may cause some problems.. Here's a little info on warranties.

The link you quoted is the thousands you pay a law firm I am talking about.

If a dealership decides your PCM was swapped/flashed/etc and denies the warranty claim you are then in for a world of fun. Sure you can fight it and maybe even win but you are talking lots of money and time that most people do not want to go through.

It's still the burden of proof. If they can't prove that it caused the failure then it's on them. Well you can have the edge pulsar. That way you can piggyback the system. But just don't leave it on when you carry it in for warranty work. I had one on my 2016 and never had a bit of a problem with it. I had 2 pulsars that went **** up and threw all kind of codes. So if you put a lift kit on your truck and your suspension tears up are they going to warranty it.

As I stated it depends on the dealership as to how nice or naughty they will be. They can take any aftermarket part and blame it for any problems it can affect and deny warranty claims. You can then choose to fight it in court spending thousands of dollars and maybe after months you win in court and maybe you get the manufacturer to pay your legal fees.

The manufacturer has a corporate legal team/firm on retainer 24/7 whereas Joe Blow hopes his small time attorney can win the day.

I understand that but I'm going to do the mod on mine I did the last one with no problems. I'll switch the pcm's out when I take it to the dealership. Mine is here waiting on the dealership to replace my rear window because it was leaking, nothing to do with any of the other mods I did lol. When I get it back the mod begins. If you don't want to mod yours then don't. Everyone on here knows the chance in modding their truck.
