The numbers are in and the Ram brand had an exceptional year for 2017. Ram sales have been rising year over year since the 4th Gen Ram came out in 2009. With 98,465 Ram pickups sold in Canada in 2017 the Ram brand has more than tripled sales numbers since the 4th Gen Ram came out in 2009 with 31,408 Canadian sales. Ram trucks were the second best selling vehicle in Canada in 2017, with the first place spot going to the Ford F-Series. In the U.S Ram sold 500,723 pickups in 2017, also a sales record. Ram sales in the U.S have been steadily rising since the 4th Gen Ram debuted in 2009 with 177,268 Sales. Ram will of course be looking for continued sales growth with the introduction of the 5th generation Ram, debuting Jan 15th in Detroit.
January 3, 2018 , Windsor, Ontario – FCA Canada today reported both December and full-year sales, closing the books on 2017 with an all-time record year for Ram brand, as well as Ram pickup trucks.
In full-year 2017, Ram was the record-setting sales leader for FCA Canada, with figures exceeding 100,000 units and surpassing last year’s full-year numbers by 10 per cent.
Ram brand finished 2017 strongly with a hat-trick of sales claims: the best sales year on record for the brand overall (103,843 units, versus 94,108 in 2016), the best year ever for pickup truck sales (98,465 units, versus 89,666 in 2016), and Ram pickup truck as the second highest selling vehicle in Canada for the year.
