Last Friday, 5thGenRams co-editor Robert Miller was at his local dealer having the first service done on our Long Term 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport, where he noticed that there were some 2020 Ram 1500 models on the dealer lot.
Ram hasn’t officially released any information about the 2020 Ram 1500 yet, but there are a few things that we do know. Earlier this year we told you that we were hearing that a Night edition package would be making it’s way to the 2020 Ram 1500, and after a quick search on cars.com, we were able to locate a few 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horns with the Night edition package. Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram have a Billet Silver 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night edition, while Fred Martin Superstore has a white 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night edition listed. We pulled the window sticker for the silver truck which gave us our first concrete details on the Night Edition package. Retailing for $1895 U.S the night edition package includes 20×9 black-painted wheels, 275/55R20 tires, black exterior badging, black headlamp bezels, black interior accents, and cloth bucket seats. While this truck has the basic halogen lights, the night edition package should be available with the optional LED headlights and taillights as well.
Our sources also tell us that there will be a Laramie Night Edition package which will pretty much mirror the Big Horn Night package but with the Laramie niceties and all-black 22 inch Laramie Sport wheels.
Just as we were finishing up this article one of our forum members found a 2020 Ram Rebel on Autotrader that also has a new as yet unannounced black appearance package. According to the window sticker the Rebel Black appearance package costs $525 and adds even more black accents to the Rebel. The front bumper and skid plate is all black instead of the silver skid plate on standard rebels, the R-A-M letting in the grille is black instead of silver, and the Rebel wheels are entirely finished in gloss black instead of matte black with machined pockets on standard Rebels.
According to one of our sources, the 2020 Ram Build and Price will be up in early September. Make sure you’re watching our website and are subscribed to our YouTube channel for all the latest information as it becomes available, we will also be driving the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel in a few weeks, and will be able to tell you all about it and show it to you at the end of the month.
