My big question is will the truck still work and function if the 48 volt battery fails. I'm assuming at some point replacement battery packs will stop being produced.
The move to the turbo 4 and 6 cylinder engines is due to mandated "emissions" standards. I don't think any of the manufacturers would have gone away from the V8 if they weren't forced.
3.92 Driver here, My around town average is also 13.5 and on the highway I never get above 18 mpg on average. If I reset the meter while I'm already at speed on the highway it might show 20 for me but the first hill I come to or and sort of slow down and speed up immediately drops me back down...
As others have stated Ram never offered a limited slip or locking front differential. This isn't something I would add on a street vehicle.
When a limited slip locks the front axle you lose the ability to steer, it will try to drive the vehicle straight regardless where the wheels are turned...
I was waiting to see if someone more knowledgeable than me would comment first.
Just my observation but it seems like the majority of failures as you described go away on their own or after the battery has been disconnected for an hour.

I just wanted to add Koons is relatively local to me. I chose to fly to Louisiana and spend two days driving back to avoid any potential of unfavorable dealership experiences.
I'm looking forward to hearing how your transaction goes. If I trade a car in having Koons near me makes the logistics...
Let us know how the dealership experience goes once you take delivery. Over the years I've seen Koons offer very competitive prices. Ultimately I decided not to use Koons because I was nervous about getting hit with additional fees or shenanigans during the delivery process once your in the...
I might be off base here but I was under the assumption a large part of the tow rating was determined by the ability of the brakes and suspension to control a trailer under heavy braking more so than it was determined by the actual horsepower of the vehicle. If you look at horsepower and tow...
Listen guys, I'm sensitive over your lack of sensitivity towards each other here.
As far as the truck goes, I actually like the RHO idea. When I ordered my truck I considered getting a TRX however the price jump was too much for me. As much as I love the idea of the TRX I'm not sure how I feel...
I agree with this. Not specifically about the Hemi, but I recall seeing news articles along the lines of "Stellantis pays record fuel economy fines to EPA". I'd argue they understand what their customers want to the point in paying over a hundred million dollars in fines to continue to sell...
I agree that the RPM is relative to the speed. The amount of fuel your burning to maintain that 1600 however is a variable.
Another theory could be the amount of time the vehicle spends warming up. I think the engine runs on the rich side at start up until it reaches operating temperature.
I...
