For future reference, wheel size isn't important when it comes to speedometer calibration. It's the outside diameter of the tire that matters. There are lots of websites out there which will give you tire dimensions based on size, as well as a side by side comparison of the two sizes if...
I wasn't talking about on the actual drain. But the black firewall insulation around the drain. It looks darker in the area under the drain (area highlighted in yellow in attached pic), as if it's wet. It could just be that it's cleaner though. Hard to tell from a picture.
Yes, that is the drain for the evaporator. The firewall insulation looks wet in that pic so it appears that condensate has recently drained out of it. If it was plugged it would be dry. But it's easy enough to do as @cerbo suggested and go on a drive with the AC running on high, then see if...
It really depends on who is in power. Currently some state governors have mandated that new ICE equipped vehicle sales will not be legal (in about a dozen states) after a certain date. I don't see that happening in about half the states, but it could happen at a federal level at some point...
Holy crap that's scary. I hope no one was hurt when that happened. This is the first time I've heard of this happening. Please keep us updated with what you find out.
I try to do an oil change in the first couple thousand miles. I'd feel comfortable with doing it after a road trip though if I wasn't even at 1000 miles yet. Ram says to change it every 10000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. So it's really your call on when to do the first oil change.
The 48v battery is pretty small and would be depleted pretty fast. So the generator would need to be keeping the 48v battery charged. How long can the generator sustain that? I’d try doing some research on the system before trying something like that. I doubt the system was designed for that...
I agree with this if you want a vehicle with stop/start. It is very seamless. But for those of us who don't want stop/start there's nothing better than an engine which doesn't have it.
If I remember correctly vaping was an offshoot of e-cigarettes in the early to mid 2000's. @Ash Paymaster must be fairly young if 15 to 20 years is a big part of his life. Damn, now I'm feeling old. :ROFLMAO:
I don't know how I could explain it in more simple terms for you, but I'll try. Cost of a Mopar dip stick and tube is just over $20 ($21.20). The cost of an oil level sensor is a little harder to know. I wasn't able to find one on the Mopar site I was searching. But an internet search...
That makes zero sense. A dip stick and tube cost less than most oil level sensors. At best the parts cost would be a wash. That doesn’t account for the software development costs associated with the sensor. Cost couldn’t be the reason.
