Electrical is definitely not my thing, especially automotive. I have my trailer brake controller set around #5. The one thing that I do know is, I don't need my truck to tell me how long my trailer is, and how to back it up.
Thanks. I have finally come to that same conclusion. We did a 3500 mile trip to Mississippi and back up through New Mexico last October and the truck really did great all in all. I think I averaged 10.5 gpm. If the opportunity ever presents itself, I may add the 33 gallon tank. When traveling...
I'm a ex CDL holder and fortunate to have pulled several different travel trailers and a 36' 5th wheel. This is my first 1500 Ram and I have a 26' 5,500lb travel trailer. I'm very happy with this set up. This is my opinion only, but if I had to pull anything over 28' and 7,500lbs, I'd go with a...
Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to stick with truck for now. It'll be paid off in 3 years. I'm looking at getting a left hip revision in a month or so, and being retired, I probably need to keep my finances in check for now. Plus, if they don't bring the Hemi back my truck will be a...
Just me, old school kinda guy, I haven't had white wall letters on my tires since I owned my '82 Scrambler with BF Goodrich M/T's. I guess my point is is, I prefer black wall out.
I really enjoy watching the builds on here. They might not be things that I would do, or afford. I just wanted to say you're truck is looking really nice.
The winch was on my jeep when I bought it. I've done a lot of jeeping. I'm on my 7th. I've gone over the Rubicon trail in my first jeep maybe three times in the 90's. This is my first jeep with a winch. My first jeep or should I say my youngest son's jeep. And my current jeep.
I have an older Badlands 12,000 lb winch on my '05 TJR and it's gotten me out of a couple of sticky situations. And helped another jeeper out on the trail.
Thanks. I think your right, it's had a lot of issues early. I will stick with my 5.7 for now. I'd never hear the end of it if it were to break down on a trip.🥃
I bought my 1500 September 2022 with only 11,300 miles on it. I have owned two different CTD'S and miss my 2018. The HD'S are just to tall to deal with for me anymore. But you're right, I do know what I have invested at this point in my truck. Just needed to hear another opinion. Definitely...
