I've had my Bakflip MX4 installed for a couple weeks now, have gotten quite a bit of rain and actually been really surprised by how little water makes it inside already. It gets a little wet in the corners by the tailgate as expected with those big gaps, but that's pretty much it... shouldn't...
I have the same kit waiting for a good day to get it done. I looked at the instructions and agree that they're a little confusing. My hope has been that it will make sense when I'm actually hands-on the install. Guess I'll see soon...
I've had it on order from my local dealer for about six weeks now and it's supposed to be in sometime in June. I'm not holding my breath though as it seems to be backordered everywhere. Very annoying that it's so difficult to obtain.
By request...Bakflip MX4 on my 2024 Limited with Rambox and MFT...
The installation was pretty easy... spent more time changing the bed rails (black to silver) than installing the actual cover. Loving the upgrade in looks and functionality over the Mopar soft tonneau though!

Rear passengers have to do it themselves...no control from the front unless you reach behind the center console and push the buttons yourself (which I've learned to do for my kids).
The Audi Q7 that I drove before my Ram let you unlock from the rear doors and I find mysterious constantly trying to do it on my truck out of habit. I have Ramboxes and it's annoying to walk up to the truck from behind and realize the Rambox is locked, then have to take an extra couple steps to...
Very dependent on your trim level and driving style. My V8 Limited, driven mostly at 75-80mph on the highway, only gets 16mpg. Heavy and fast are not a good combination for gas mileage.
The payload on my pretty much fully loaded Limited (RamBox, MFT, sunroof) is only 929#... definitely not adequate if you need to do much towing or heavy hauling. You have to be very aware of your intended use when buying a Limited. The low payload is fine in my case because I don't intend to tow...
