For the 2021 model year, the RAM brand has continued sales of its Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition pickups. The pickup was originally announced the day that automotive manufacturers shut down plant production across North America due to the COVID-19 (or Coronavirus) pandemic. But according to the RAM brand’s own Build & Price configurator on RamTrucks.com and the fact that the new 2021 models are arriving in dealers, the Laramie Southwest Editions are back.
On the outside, the Laramie Southwest Edition looks similar to the popular Laramie Sport with its body-colored bumpers, mirrors, and grille surround. However, instead of ditching the chrome, like the popular Laramie Night Edition, the Southwest Edition adds even more. Subtle chrome highlights include tow hooks, grille inserts, body-side moldings, polished aluminum wheels, and power side steps, provide more of a luxury statement for this special edition.
Inside, the Laramie Southwest Edition is loaded with features and technology. Features like the award-winning 12-inch Uconnect 4C infotainment system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and electronic brake control are all standard. There is also a ton of added safety amenities to the package like automatic high-beam headlights, Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection, and much more. When customers opt for the bucket seat option, their Laramie Southwest Edition will be delivered with a heavy-duty Mopar locking console, just like the popular Big Horn “Built To Serve” Editions.
