Rams Newest Special Edition Is For The Southwest Only...

Texans love their trucks, and Ram knows it. Being the first brand to launch a Texas-exclusive model with the Lone Star edition which remains the best selling trim level for the Ram Brand in Texas, Ram is now following up with the 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition. This new luxury trim is aimed squarely at the largest truck buying market in the world and includes popular appearance and luxury features.

Offered exclusively in Texas and its neighboring states this package is visually distinctive with body-colored bumpers, mirrors and grille surround and subtle hints of chrome including tow hooks, grille inserts, bodyside moldings, and polished 20-inch wheels. The popular power running boards are also part of the package which fold away when not in use.

The Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition comes well equipped with the class-exclusive Uconnect 4C infotainment system with 12-inch screen, panoramic sunroof, remote tailgate release, and electronic trailer brake controller. Many safety features are standard as well such as blind-spot monitoring with cross path detection, automatic high beam headlights, rain sensitive windshield wipers, and ParkSense® Front and Rear Park-Assist with Stop.

Buyers will have a choice of either a front bench seat or buckets with Rams’ innovative sliding center console.  All Southwest Editions are will come with a heavy-duty Mopar locking console when the bucket seat option is selected.

The Southwest Edition will go on sale in the second quarter of 2020 and be offered in Quad Cab with the 6’4 box and Crew Cab with either the 5’7 or 6’4 box. All powertrains will be available, from the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, 5.7 Hemi V8, 5.7 Hemi V8 with eTorque or the recently launched 3.0 EcoDiesel V6. MSRP for the Laramie Southwest Edition starts at $45,380 plus $1,695 destination.
