The auto show season is here! And while some auto shows continue to be rescheduled for later dates due to ongoing regulations surrounding the pandemic, the Chicago Auto Show will continue on with its original February schedule. Starting next week, the Chicago Auto Show will open its doors to the media and then the public amid tightening regulations from the local Chicago government.
So what will be going on at the Chicago event for the Ram Truck brand?
Thanks to the media schedule, we know that the Ram Truck brand will hold a news conference at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 10th. It is still unknown what Ram is going to announce at the show, but it is one of only a few brands that is scheduled to hold a conference at the event.
Last year, Ram used the Chicago event to unveil a number of special edition Ram 1500 pickups that included the off-road-oriented Ram 1500 BackCountry Edition for the popular Big Horn and Lone Star trims, the Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, and the G/T Package for both the Rebel and Laramie models.
Ram Truck Territory –
The Ram Truck Territory track is a 28,000 sq ft. ultimate in-truck adventure designed to demonstrate the power and capabilities of the Ram Truck brand vehicle lineup. Professional drivers will be taking attendees through a course that will showcase the Ram Truck lineup’s ride handling capability and suspension options as they conquer steel culverts and navigate a high-banked wedge to spotlight Ram trucks’ ground clearance and stability.
The towing of the Ram 3500 with the 6.7-liter Cummins H.O. inline-six turbodiesel will also be demonstrated as the truck will be hitched to the 24-foot tall Ram “Tow Power Tower” and lift a weight to simulate towing 15,000 lbs. Riders will also feel the traction and experience hill descent technology on the iconic “Ram Mountain,” a 13-ft. high, 30-ft. long course element with a 30-degree approach and departure angles.
Ram says it will have a Ram 1500 Laramie, Ram 1500 Rebel, Ram 1500 Limited, Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition, Ram 2500 Limited, and Ram 3500 Limited at the event.
The 2022 Chicago Auto Show will open to the public on Saturday, February 12th, and run through Monday, February 21st at the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago. For more information and the latest attendee guidelines, visit ChicagoAutoShow.com.
