When people are looking at purchasing a new vehicle, resale value is something some people consider as an important part of their decision. Understanding a vehicle’s resale value or what the vehicle will be worth down the line when going to sell or trade it in, can make the difference of hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in the long run. To help new vehicle buyers make a smart decision on their next purchase, Kelley Blue Book annually releases its top-10 list of “Best Resale Value Awards”, recognizing vehicles for their projected retained value through the initial 5-year ownership period.
This week, Kelley Blue Book announced that 2021 Jeep® Wrangler, 2021 Jeep Gladiator, and 2021 Ram 1500 and Ram 2500/3500, all were named to the awards list for 2021. The announcement marked the 11th consecutive year that iconic Wrangler earned a spot on the list. Wrangler also led the Off-Road SUV segment for the third year in a row. As for the Gladiator, Ram 1500, and Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty, each earned their second consecutive spot on the list
“Shoppers who choose to buy a 2021 model from one of our Best Resale Value Brand winners can be very confident that their vehicle will retain its value well over time,” said Eric Ibara, director of residual values for Kelley Blue Book.
