2021 Ram 1500 TRX Gets Wrecked Before Leaving Assembly Line:

First TRX Causality Is In The Books...

It’s been last than three weeks since RAM kicked off production of its highly-anticipated 2021 Ram 1500 TRX performance off-roader. With owners getting excited about the potential of getting their trucks in January, one customer might not be thrilled to hear his/her TRX has been wrecked before even leaving the assembly line at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP).

Thanks to an image circulating on Instagram from sinister_lifestyle, we can see that one particular TRX rolled while on the moving assembly line this week. The accident caused the production line to come to a halt for several hours, according to our sources.

We reached out to RAM for any details about the incident at SHAP and if it would cause a delay in delivery of initial orders, however, they declined to comment.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

The truck in the picture appears to be a Granite Crystal model, telling us that this is not one of the initial 802 units (702 for the U.S. and 100 for Canada) of the Launch Edition model which sold out in just three hours after orders opened. The very first unit (VIN #001) is to be auctioned for charity, with more details coming soon.

More than likely, the truck will be scrapped and whoever holds the order of this particular truck will be notified and a new VIN number issued. A similar process was used when FCA had an incident where three limited editions 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons caught fire in a transport carrier after being loaded at the factory.

We can say it is safe to say nobody was seriously injured in the incident, or else we would have heard reports.
