Winter is here and so too is the return of the Ram 1500’s popular Big Horn North Edition package for the 2020 model year. The special edition truck, was a huge hit last year and one of the most popular packages in the northern regions of the United States, before sneaking across the border to Canada. For the United States market, the North Edition adds the ability to add the 6’4″-box option this year, instead of being limited to the 5’7″-box like last year’s model.

The North Edition adds the equipment from the popular “4×4 Off-Road” package with the Big Horn Sport Appearance Package, to create a unique look and is a more pocket-friendly option than the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel. The Big Horn North Edition is available with four powertrain options for the 2020 model year with 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, 5.7-liter HEMI V8, 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque, or the new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 as options.
While the United States buyers are limited to Crew Cab only configurations, Canadian buyers can choose from Quad Cab or Crew Cab models. However, those trucks do feature the “4×4 Off-Road” decals, instead of the “4×4 North” decals found on the trucks in the United States. The Canadian Big Horn North Edition trucks, continue to be the only way you can get a Big Horn trim-level truck with the Sport Appearance Package (not including the darkened themed Night Edition trucks).
The 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn North Edition is available at dealers now. Base U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price is $46,735, plus $1,695 destination for the Crew Cab short box and $47,035, plus $1,695 destination.
