RECALL: Stellantis Recalls 45,711 EcoDiesel Vehicles For HPFP Failure

Ram 1500, Jeep® Wrangler, and Jeep Gladiator Models Are Affected...

About 45,711 EcoDiesel-powered 2021 to 2023 Jeep® Wrangler (WL), Gladiator (JT), and 2022 to 2023 Ram 1500 vehicles are being recalled by Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) due to a potential high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure.

Failure of the HPFP could result in fuel starvation if it introduces debris from internally damaged components into the fuel system. Lack of fuel may cause an abrupt loss of thrust, which may result in an unanticipated loss of control and a sudden vehicle crash. The people inside the car might see a malfunction indicator lamp, a service electronic throttle control indicator, a fuel leak at the HPFP, or too much noise coming from the HPFP.
