Ram Releases A New Teaser Video For Something Coming May 10th

"A New Force Is Landing"...

Ram has recently posted a 9-second teaser video on their social media accounts, revealing a new vehicle introduction scheduled for May 10th. The video features a dust cloud accompanied by a faint sound of wind, followed by a brief glimpse of what sounds like an engine and headlights emerging from the cloud before the video ends. The teaser text “A new force is landing” appears, along with the date May 10th. This is a subtle tease for it being May 4th, known as ‘Star Wars Day.’

The teaser has sparked speculation that Ram may be unveiling its twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine in its half-ton offering. This engine is set to replace the iconic 5.7-liter HEMI® V8, which has been a mainstay of the Ram 1500 since 2003.

The Hurricane engine has already been introduced in two versions in the full-size Jeep® Grand Wagoneer/Wagoneer, with the High-Output variant producing 510 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque, a modest improvement over the current 5.7-liter HEMI, which is rated at 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque.

Whether this teaser is hinting at a powertrain update or the release of a new special edition model from the Ram brand remains to be seen. Fans and enthusiasts will have to wait until May 10th to find out.
