Ram Leaks Images Of New Range Extended Ramcharger Model
New Extended Range Paradigm Breaker Shows Its Face...
We’re just hours away from the official unveiling of the updated 2025 Ram 1500 (DT). However, Ram accidentally released three images of another model, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger (formerly known as the REV XR) or the Range Extended Paradigm Breaker (REPB) pickup we have heard about, on their website ahead of schedule.
The Ramcharger name, which we’ve seen on various Ram pickups since 2019 as the name for the induction phone charger, will now be associated with the new electrified Ram 1500 pickup. Unlike its previous iteration as a full-time SUV, this time, it will be an electric-powered pickup.
The images reveal that the Ramcharger will retain the beloved cab and box design introduced in January 2018. It also features the same distinctive rear design as the Ram 1500 REV, including a specific taillight design integrated into the tailgate, which sets it apart from the standard internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Additionally, it shares the exact charge port location on the driver’s side front quarter panel as the REV.
One notable change is the new front sheet metal, which aligns with the updated 2025 Ram 1500 design. While the REV doesn’t require a grille due to its all-electric nature, the Ramcharger will reportedly house a new version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 under the hood. Instead of directly driving the wheels, this engine will act as a generator to recharge the batteries and extend the range of the vehicle. This marks a significant advancement in the electric truck landscape.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details when the Ramcharger is officially unveiled at 12:01 a.m. EDT tonight. You can catch the reveal on MoparInsiders.com and 5thGenRams.com. Stay tuned!
