Ram Brazil Celebrates Brand’s 15th Anniversary Of Independence From Dodge
A Milestone Celebration with Customers, Ambassadors, and Groundbreaking Trucks...
Ram Brazil recently commemorated the 15th Anniversary of the Ram Truck brand’s independence from Dodge, gathering over 700 attendees at a grand celebration in São Paulo. The event highlighted the brand’s journey from its 2009 inception to becoming a powerhouse in Brazil, the brand’s second-largest global market, just behind the United States.
A Celebration of Legacy and Community –
The event on November 23rd featured a mix of family-friendly activities and exclusive experiences for loyal Ram enthusiasts. Guests enjoyed a barbecue crafted by chef and Ram ambassador Ju Lima, live music headlined by singer Lauana Prado, and attractions like a beauty space, barbershop, Ram Store, and Ram Connect station. Ram ambassadors, including Raquel Wedmann, Jessica Sabbag, Almir Cambra, Luca Ferrari, and Felipe Titto, were on hand to engage with fans.
A sea of Ram trucks filled the parking lot, showcasing accessorized models of all sizes and colors. Attendees voted on the top 10 accessorized trucks in an initiative supported by Mopar, the brand behind Ram’s genuine accessories. Fan clubs like Mulheres de Ram and Ram Clube Brasil joined customers and members of the Ram Society, a loyalty program for the brand’s most dedicated clientele.
“Each record sale and industry award solidifies that we’re on the right track,” Juliano Machado, Vice President of Ram South America, expressed with price. “Here’s to 15 more years of innovation and celebration.”
A History of Growth in Brazil –
The Ram brand gained independence from Dodge in October 2009 under the leadership of former Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne. At that time, Ram was already selling the iconic 2500 model in Brazil.
By 2019, the brand entered a new era with the launch of the 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie, which featured a 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel I-6 engine producing 365 horsepower (272 kW) and 1,085 Nm (800 lb-ft) of torque. This truck introduced Brazilian buyers to advanced features like a 12-inch touchscreen, 360° cameras, and active noise cancellation.
The brand’s growth accelerated in 2020, surpassing 10,000 units sold. That same year, Ram introduced the 1500 Rebel with a powerful 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine producing 400 horsepower (298 kW). In 2022, the lineup expanded further with the launch of the Ram 3500 Heavy Duty and the Ram 1500 Classic, continuing the HEMI® tradition.
The Game-Changing Ram Rampage –
A pivotal moment came in June 2023 with the debut of the compact Ram Rampage, the first Ram model manufactured outside the U.S. and Mexico. Designed by over 800 Brazilian engineers, the Rampage underwent 1.2 million development hours.
Available in Rebel, Laramie, and R/T trims, the Rampage is the fastest pickup produced in South America. For 2025, the Rampage introduced a 2.2-liter turbodiesel I-4 engine delivering 200 horsepower (149 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, offering improved efficiency and performance.
Since its launch, the Rampage has won 15 awards and surpassed 30,000 units sold. In response to its popularity, Ram added a more affordable Big Horn version to the lineup alongside an all-new dealer showroom model called ‘Ram House.’
Looking Ahead –
In recent weeks, Ram also introduced the 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane6 standard-output (S/O) engine, tuned for 426 horsepower (318 kW) and 635 Nm (468 lb-ft) of torque. This model cements its place as the fastest pickup in Brazil, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.3 seconds.
From iconic models to groundbreaking launches like the Rampage, the Ram brand continues to redefine the Brazilian pickup truck market.
