Mopar Revives ‘The Dude’ With Retro-Inspired Ram 1500 Concept
A Modern Sport Truck Throwback That Channels 1970s Attitude
Mopar is bringing vintage swagger back to Las Vegas for the 2025 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with one of its boldest builds yet — The Dude Ram 1500 Concept. Reviving a nameplate that once captured the essence of the early-’70s sport truck craze, this modern reinterpretation blends nostalgia with modern performance in unmistakable Mopar fashion.

Based on a 2026 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night Edition, the Dude Concept stands out immediately thanks to its Sublime Green exterior, accented by satin black “C-stripe” graphics that run the length of the truck — a direct nod to the original 1970s Dude package. Mopar designers doubled down on the contrast theme with black accents on the hood, grille, roof, mirrors, and tailgate, all carrying Ram’s signature branding for a factory-tuned custom look.
Sitting low and mean, the truck rides on custom 22-inch x 10-inch Satin Black wheels, paired with a lowered stance, custom front splitter, and side sills that amplify its street performance image. Twin side-exit exhaust tips, finished in black and positioned ahead of the rear wheels, add an unmistakable muscle-truck edge while letting the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 under the hood breathe freely through a Mopar cold-air intake. The result is 395 horsepower of classic V8 tone and torque, wrapped in a package that looks as good as it sounds.

Inside, the Dude Concept continues the retro-meets-modern theme. Custom Alea Leather seats are finished with Bright Green stitching to match the exterior, contrasted by dark door panels and a custom instrument panel badge featuring The Dude logo in Bright Green. Mopar also added practical touches, including an in-console safe, multi-accessory rail, and all-weather floor mats — making this show truck as functional as it is flashy.
With its blend of heritage cues, aggressive styling, and signature Mopar craftsmanship, The Dude Ram 1500 Concept shows how the brand continues to honor its past while pushing design and performance into the future.
