Mopar Gives Ram and Dodge EVs a New Look for SEMA

This year, Mopar is set to make a statement at the 2024 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas from Nov. 5-8 with two of its most exciting electric vehicles (EVs): the 2025 Ram 1500 REV Tungsten and the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept. Both vehicles will appear in a striking Metallic Blue finish with dual white racing stripes inspired by the classic look of the Viper GTS. Mopar’s showcase highlights its dedication to merging high-performance EV technology with the timeless style fans expect from Ram and Dodge.

Ram 1500 REV Tungsten – 

The Ram 1500 REV Tungsten, which previously debuted at other auto shows, arrives at SEMA with a new sporty color scheme that underscores its capability and style. This all-electric pickup offers a standard 168-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack, targeting a range of up to 350 miles. Production of the Ram 1500 REV is scheduled to begin at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Sterling Heights, Michigan, by the end of this year, with deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2025.

Designed to be highly adaptable, the Ram 1500 REV Tungsten features 800-volt DC fast charging capabilities that can add up to 110 miles of range in just 10 minutes at 350 kW. This all-electric pickup also offers bi-directional charging, allowing it to power a home during outages, energize equipment at a job site, or charge other Stellantis battery-electric vehicles. A power panel in the bed provides up to 7.2 kW, while an available power panel in the frunk (front trunk) adds another 3.6 kW.

Performance figures for the Ram 1500 REV are impressive: it can reach 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds with a 654-horsepower electric motor setup delivering 620 lb.-ft. of torque. It also boasts up to 14,000 pounds of towing capacity, a 2,700-pound payload capacity, and a water-fording ability of up to 24 inches, making it well-equipped for rugged adventures.

Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept – 

The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept makes a return appearance at SEMA, now featuring a refreshed Metallic Blue exterior with white racing stripes, American flag decals, and Mopar graphics. This all-electric muscle car runs on an 800-volt architecture and is equipped with bright red tow hooks, hinting at potential track-focused applications. The Charger Daytona SRT Banshee is set to enter production in late 2025, making its debut as a 2026 model and marking Dodge’s significant leap into the EV market with a high-performance electric muscle car.

True to Dodge’s muscle heritage, the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee features the innovative eRupt multi-speed transmission with electro-mechanical shifting, offering distinct shift points that add an immersive driving experience. Additionally, it includes a PowerShot mode, activated by a button on the steering wheel, delivering a quick boost in horsepower for a surge of acceleration when needed.

This is the third time we’ve seen the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept in a new color. It first appeared in August 2022 in a shade called “Grays of Thunder” and made its SEMA debut later that year in a vibrant Stryker Red, reminiscent of the Viper GTS.

Banshee Rumors – 

Rumors about the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee suggest that Dodge may implement a tri-motor setup similar to theMaserati GranTurismo Folgore. This setup could provide over 1,000 horsepower, putting it on par with the Tesla Model S Plaid. Stellantis’ Electric Drive Modules (EDMs), which integrate motor, transmission, and inverter functions, may power this advanced setup. The tri-motor configuration, potentially including one motor on the front axle and two on the rear, would give the Banshee the distinctive power and handling characteristics Dodge enthusiasts expect.

As Mopar unveils these vehicles at SEMA, fans can anticipate an electrifying new era of capability and performance for the Ram and Dodge brands.
