Is This What The Upcoming Ram 1500 BEV Will Look Like?

Digital Artist "The Sketch Monkey" Takes His Shot At The Next Ram 1500...

In February, Ram officially announced its plans to build an all-electric Ram half-ton pickup: the Ram 1500 BEV. Since then, we have been treated to a few teaser images of a conceptual version of the truck that is scheduled to appear sometime later this year. Ram will use customer feedback to bring their production version of the truck to market in 2024.

The BEV (battery-electric vehicle) will be joined by a Range Electric Paradigm Breaker (REPB) version, which should have a small internal combustion engine (ICE) to act as a generator to recharge the batteries and get rid of range anxiety for those having the hard time to convert to electric.

The new electrified trucks will be based on an evolution of the DT architecture (called STLA Frame). It will be very similar to the chassis found on the all-new Grand Wagoneer/Wagoneer (WS) architecture, which is based on the current DT architecture.

Using the teaser images, we have seen a number of digital creators create their own takes on what the new Ram 1500 BEV would look like. One of those artists, Marouane Bembli (@thesketchmonkey) is a popular YouTuber who loves to critique automotive designs across the auto industry. In his latest video, he takes his shot at the upcoming electrified Ram half-ton.

Taking a look at the very different designs from Ram’s competitors the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV, Bembli tries to blend some lessons from both trucks to create a design from the Ram teaser shots on top of the current TRX model.

Overall, we think he did a good job staying true to the teaser shots with his design.
