So what is new for 2023?
Digital Gauge Cluster –
The biggest change to the lineup is the addition of a new 12.3-inch frameless digital gauge cluster that features nearly two dozen different menus. The full-color cluster features five reconfigurable tiles to provide the driver with at-a-glance data, or quick and easy access to the most used information.
Drivers may choose between analog or digital instrumentation and all cluster setting can be saved to a user profile. The new digital gauge cluster is standard on all models starting with the Big Horn/Lone Star and up.
Ram 1500 Limited Elite Edition –
As a continuation of last year’s successful Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, Ram has introduced the 2023 Ram 1500 Limited Elite Edition (similar to what it did with the Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition to the Southfork Edition, in 2022).
The package features a multifunction and locking tailgate, tailgate ajar warning lamp, deployable bed step, four adjustable cargo tie-down hooks, and a bed extender and cargo divider. Inside, a jeweled rotary shifter, unique instrument cluster theme, premium leather bucket seats, heated and ventilated 12-way driver and front passenger seats, suede headliner, heated steering wheel, and a bright pedal kit.
Ram 1500 Limited (RED) Edition –
The Ram 1500 Limited (RED) Edition returns for 2023, but now offers a new UV-C glove box light that’s engaged through a button on the center console. Once engaged, the UV light will start a three-minute hygiene cycle that kills bacteria.
The (RED) Edition continues to feature a red R-A-M grille and door badging, and a (RED) badge on the center console lid. The special edition model continues the Ram, Jeep®, and FIAT brands’ commitment to the Global Fund between 2021-2023 to help fight health emergencies with (RED).
Off-Road Model Updates –
For 2023, the Ram 1500 off-road (BackCountry, Rebel, and Off-Road Group) models, there are some small updates.
A new 22-inch all-terrain tire option is now available for Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited models with the Off-Road Group.
The 2023 Ram 1500 Rebel now includes Selec-Speed Control as standard equipment. It also is now available on BackCountry Package (Big Horn/Lone Star) and Off-Road Group (Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited) models.
Added Technology –
There is also a couple of updates in the tech field for the 2023 Ram 1500. The first is the addition of the Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) with models with the 12-Inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen.
Every year, American motorists are involved in at least 6,500 crashes involving ambulances, and thousands more with fire trucks, police cars, and other emergency vehicles, often because drivers didn’t see them approaching.
With EVAS, Stellantis came up with a way to capture those signals and then display alerts on its vehicle touchscreens.
All 2023 Ram 1500 models will now feature a Rear-Seat Reminder Alert feature, which reminds the driver to check the backseat of their vehicle before they leave it. Especially good news for small children or pets. All trucks will also include an LED hitch lamp located in the tailgate handle.
The 2023 Ram 1500 will be available in a choice of 9 core exterior colors. Those colors include the following…
- Delmonico Red Pearl (PRV)
- Flame Red (PRV)
- Patriot Blue Pearl (PPX)
- Hydro Blue (PBJ)
- Granite Crystal Metallic (PAU)
- Billet Silver Metallic (PSE)
- Diamond Black Crystal Pearl (PXJ)
