Good evening I have been reading through the threads and was wondering if any one has had any success with there dealers ref the 2019 Dodge Ram Laramie shake at around 60 mph. Mine is mostly through the gas pedal. I only have 600 miles and the wobble has been there since new. Any help to direct my dealer in the proper direction would be great.

Have you been to the dealer? I don’t like to give dealers an area to focus on, simply tell them the symptoms, they’re the experts, let them figure it out.

The power of suggestion is huge. For example, if you tell them you think it’s the drivers side front tire, guess what, they’ll balance that tire and send you on your way...you’ll find out if you’re correct. When you find out it’s wrong, you’ll be mad at the dealer for not fixing it all the while, you’re the one who told them through suggestion to focus there. I learned this long ago with getting cars fixed. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find out they’ve come to the same conclusion as I had going in (without mentioning my thoughts) and then there have been times when I was surprised I was wrong but happy it was fixed.

I have the same problem , I have taken the truck in 5x and they have replaced the rotors , calipers , pads and even road force balanced the tires and did a factory reset to the ecu and still mine shakes. I have filed a lemon law case w/ Chrysler. It’s sad they put no effort into helping these dealerships fix these problems. They use customers as the guiny pigs. Test your stuff before you release it @RamCares

Zero shake at any speed up to 90mph (have not exceeded 90 yet) but that is with BFG KO2's which were installed morning after picking up truck...
Would suggest you find another dealer, go for a test drive with the Shop/Service manager to demo the problem and maybe then take a test drive with the same manager in one of the dealers new trucks. Should NOT be hard to find and correct as long as everything is stock...

I have a Laramie as well, with the 20in. Bridgestones. Took my truck on a 20 minute ride at 60 mph. I reset the fuel meter. Only got 16.2 mpg on the trip, and only hit 2 lights. Otherwise, 60 mph back and forth for 20 minutes. Not impressed with the mpg at all. Oh, and it was the most intolerable ride as the truck vibrated so badly between 60 and 70 mph. I took a 2nd trip, at 60 mph with MDS off using the gear select. It did nothing to improve the ride, just made it louder in the cabin, and only got 14.8 mph. I seriously doubt this truck could ever get above 17 mpg, and even then, the truck is not driveable above 60 mph. Yet, I've taken in to the dealer who says nothing is wrong, but gave me a 'complimentary' tire balance which did nothing. I'm not even sure they actually did anything except mark it on the paper. Has anyone found any solution to this terrible shake/wobble?

I had one of those too, except it was a 15 sierra. apparently I have crap luck because I ended up with a Ram that has a shaking issue too. Like the others have stated on this thread and one other thread about it on here, shaking starts in the low 50's and continues on up through about 67 or so worse right around 60 MPH. A little different than the GM shake though, this is obviously coming from the rear end, you can actually see to be move side to side. Just like the chevy shake you can balance tires all day long and it doesn't improve anything, I think it's something in the rear end, dealer isn't helpful and I'm not going to through a lot of money at it trying to fix like I did with the GMC, So far it appears to be a much smaller issue than it was for the K2XX GM's but just as frustrating, I think I have only seen maybe 12-15 unique posts by people who have the issue. I'll suffer through until I can trade this thing in without a massive financial hit and move on.

Well they did a road force balance on mine as well as replaced the brakes, rotors and calipers. They also replaced the steering gear box which I believe was the main culprit for my shake and wobble. Have them try that it never hurts to start ruling it all out. After all that I now have a rattle somewhere either in the dash or steering wheel itself. Taking it Thursday to have it looked at. I will post update on that as well.

But you are saying that you no longer have the wobble/shake? Sounds like the steering gear box may be worth looking into. Can you post the work order you got back that shows exactly what they did?

Hi rrbhokies,
Please let us know if you plan to continue working with your dealer to address this. You are also welcome to visit a different dealer to get a second opinion. We are happy to connect you with a Case Specialist so you have some additional assistance during this process.

Well I hate to admit it but the wobble is back after a tire rotation so I’m going to fight them to replace the crappy tires from the factory like I have asked since day one. I will keep everyone posted.

I went through multiple sets of tires and it didn't help. Road force balance, match mount and check tire/wheel run-out.... Still there.

And which tires are those? I have the 20" Bridgestone Duelers.

if vibration doesn’t start until 50, it seems like it could be the wheel or tire. Could maybe be a u joint or bearing somewhere in the rear axle. These are sort of hard to pin point. Wheel bearings? A lot of things to look at.

Have you considered taking it by an off-road jeep type of place and seeing if they could help? The dealer is a place where you go to have someone follow the instructions and fix something. They aren’t very good at “advanced troubleshooting”. Which is kind of sad, considering, but just how it usually is.

Also, “road force balancing” doesn’t really mean much IMO. You don’t need a fluff machine, you need an accurate machine and an operator who isn’t a glue stick. Have you looked to see how much weight was on each one? That’s a decent place to start.

My vibration can be felt around 8-12 mph, then ~40 mph (most vibration/shimmy here) and finally some small vibration starting at 60+. This is consistent across all sets of tires I've tried.

I doubt you would feel a tire at 10mph, so that makes sense. Wheel bearings? U joint? Pinion? I mean they need to check this stuff out and stop the “road force” non sense.
