I have been following the forum for about 1 1/2 yrs and do not recall this being an issue on the forum. Is there a possibility that this is coming from the rear window and making its way to the carpet?

I know EXACTLY what this is. It happened on my 2017 1500. Your Exhauster Vents ares blocked. It was a quick replacment at my dealer. It's covered under the warranty. Bought my 2017 1500 used and it was used as a rental, had 8K miles on it. I live in Florida, never noticed when the truck was washed, but anytime a normal Florida rain happened, BAM!!! Whole back floor was soaked under the mats. They replaced the Exhauster Vents and no more water or moldy smell. Now I'm hoping it never happens on my 2020 1500 Laramie, but as much as I've seen this problem on so many different years of this truck, it's bound to happen, so I hope this post gets a sticky.

Yeah it rained all day yesterday and then this morning my truck smelt terrible. It’s going to the dealership tomorrow to see what they’ll do about it.

Make sure you tell them to look at the Exhuster Vents. I wish I could post a picture of the invoice from teh dealer for the repair for that. It has the part number on it. I'll take a look around.

Well they put it all together and now looking inside the truck they forgot to put the rubber piece back in on the back wall that holds the carpet in

OMG. How TF do they "forget" to put a piece back in? They have detailed instructions they should be following.

What a bunch of dip$hits.
Unbelievable.
