Sorry if this is covered elsewhere; I did try searching with no luck

I got what I assume is a warning light (?) on my dash while towing. It flashed back and forth from trailer merge assist (20ft) to trailer (!) - jpg below, but I cannot find any info in the owner's guide. I assumed it just meant it was having trouble figuring out trailer length, but now not so certain. Need to know if this is cautionary (e.g. length not determined), a failure (e.g. service required), or something else... Any help would be appreciated.

For reference, I was towing a 2018 Micro Minnie (21ft, about 3500lbs).

From what I can gather by flipping through the owners manual, it looks like the truck is having a hard time determining the trailer length so it isn’t going to be able to help you with any “merge assist” which seems to be integrated into your Blindspot monitoring system.

So, SA researched it and found it means "Tow Hook Failure". Apparently not a literal descriptor as the issue is believed to be related to the 7pin connection. The dealership tech plugged in a trailer simulator, did a few checks and (of course) no OBD codes found, no issues found on the 7pin connector. Advice from SA was if I get the light again to leave everything hooked up and bring the whole kit and caboodle into the service drive for assessment.

I'll just plan on cleaning the trailer and truck 7pin connectors and triple checking the connection seating prior to towing.

Incidental thought: my wife mentioned some 2025 owners were having troubles with trailers that were running incandescent bulbs on brakes, turn-signals, etc. Apparently the 2025 RAM system is optimized for LED currents/voltages and does not always play nice with older tech. Ours is still incandescent.
