USB version questions?

I have seen discussions in this forum about fast charging using the USB ports in 2020 Rams. I know that we have USB type A and type C connectors in the trucks. So my question is what version of USB standard is supported using these connectors? USB2.0 or USB3.1? I have been unable to find this documented anywhere. The logo on the connectors would indicate 2.0 but fast charging requires 3.1 which supplies higher current. Is the logo label incorrect?

v2 is black v3 is blue (when dealing with normal computers and USB A) .. you may have a mix of each in your vehicle (unable to assist further since your signature line is blank - I'll see if I can locate my documents) .. read my sig block to see what all options I have. I do believe they are v2 for USB A and v3.1 USB C.

Your owner's manual will show you which ones are for what. The v3 will also have "fast charging" as Media Ports to your rig as well if I remember correctly.

The connectors or plugs are the parts on your cable to your device, while the jack or port is the part in the vehicle itself.

I have the wireless charging port in my rig, and love it - no cables .. and it is fast charging.

I use the USB A for my SSD and MP3s:
