Unusual road noise

Anyone else have some unusual road noise? It seems to be a low vibrating sort of noise coming from the rear left side. When I am driving anywhere between 20 and 70 mph. It comes once a minute or so and lasts 2 or 3 seconds. It does not seem to matter if I am pressing the accelerator or not. Maybe engine noise coming from the exhaust?

Further reading has revealed that this is a problem with the active noise cancelling feature. Has anyone out there had any luck getting the dealer to disable the anc?

I disabled it by de-pinning the microphone wires at the plug on the amp under the drivers seat. The first eight wires (brown and orange) on the left side of this plug, minus the thick red one. Do this at your own risk lol I am not responsible for any damages.

I saw that on another post. I assume you did this and it worked? Is the potential road noise more bearable than the poor anc?

Yes I did do it, I pretty much drive strictly in town. Speed limits are usually 30 or 40 mph. And it seemed to make the noise at those two speeds lol. Drove me crazy. I honestly don't notice any more road noise but I don't really drive at freeway speeds either. For me it was definitely worth it. If ram comes out with a proven fix I will just plug the wires back in and get it fixed.

Thank you. This seems much easier than taking down the headliner and unplugging the micraphones. It seems to be a lot of technology to eliminate a little road noise

I think there's a TSB issued for this problem. Check with your dealker.

Never mind it was bugging me and I had to check. It works just like before, no issues

I’m getting a high pitched noise consistently at 42-45 mph. Any speed below or above that and the high pitch goes away. Any thoughts on that one?

You can check to see if it is the active noise cancelling feature acting up if you roll down a window when you hear the noise. If the noise immediately stops, it is the anc.

I seem to be having this same issue after i put in a set of subs... i bought a tool to help me pull the pins out but it doesnt seem to be working. Any ideas on how to get the pins out?

I have the same droning sound 60-65 mph. I put my first freeway miles on today and heard the sound thinking was a truck that was beside me but after the truck got way out of hearing range the noise was still there just at the previously stated speeds. It is pretty annoying.

Wow!!! I just bought my truck on January 26, 2019 and have 100 miles on it. It is definitely having the issue that is being described on these forums, relating to the ANC. I have an intermittent light saber sound just by stepping on the gas. I can even make he sound happen with the stereo turned off. At first I did not understand where the sound was coming from and started searching these forums. Somebody out there said roll the windows down. I tried it, and I rolled the windows down in the middle of the truck making the sound. Like magic, it just disappeared. I tried to repeat the scenario a few times, and every time I rolled a window down the buzzing sound would stop immediately. However, currently, it is -40* in Milwaukee, so driving with my windows down is not an option. I am going to call the dealership this morning and see what can be done. Wish me luck.

No thoughts as to a solution, although I have the exact same issue. 2019 4x4 limited, eTorque. 43 mph is the loudest and most consistent. It is not the noise cancelling feature. RPM, acceleration or deceleration doesn't matter. The speed is the issue. Is clearly something from exterior/drivetrain. Going to have dealer look at it during next visit. Would welcome any thoughts about what causes this and whether it can be fixed.

Just curious which brand and model tires came with your truck.
