Uconnect access/Sirius Xm gaurdian.

I have the 8.4 non nav and rear view mirror without the assist button and sos button. Could I purchase the mirror with the assist button and sos and then be able to have access to uconnect access or siriusxm gaurdian

If you need S.O.S and Assist, i think you need whole new Uconnect system with NAV because they're tied together.

After 12 months trial it’ll cost you $250 a year to use those 2 little buttons + all the other features on the app.

Wow. You joking? Didn’t know that. It was free with my Silverado. Wtf. I’m good where I’m at i was wanting the remote start app due to distance I got the remote start but have to get in distance

Yep. $250 annually and all the other makers are going to something similar. Charging to use their app now. I’ve read that the Ford app used to be free but looks like they’ll be charging soon also.

If you’re within your 1st 12months of purchase you can use the app to remote start

I don't think so, you would need to install whole new aftermarket security & remote start system which is come with it own app.

It is always like for every car, the build in remote start won't work with any aftermarket remote start, you will need to buy and install their own add-on system.

From what I've read, the UConnect is available without NAV, you need the 4C version of HU and Uconnect.

Weird because I got a thing in the mail this week from SiriusXM telling to call and activate my Guardian even though I have the non-nav 8.4 and dont have the two buttons.

I have the same setup in my 2021. I was trying to connect my phone to uconnect but my last ram (2019) keeps showing up. All i want to do is start the truck from my phone before i get off work. Did you ever figure out whats going on with the missing Assist button?
