I have not been able to see my trucks GCWR or Curb Weight to figure out my towing capacity. The only thing I’ve been able to find is my payload which is 1,467 pounds. Where can I find the curb weight and GCWR?

Your GCWR will be over 17000 FWIW if you have the hemi.

You’re a lifesaver. I just googled the GCWR and you verified it. Thank you very much. I have the HEMI with e torque by the way.

I’m going to add my information to my signature now.

17000 with 3.92 and 13900 with 3.21

Yes sir. I have the 3.92. You guys definitely helped me figure out my towing capacity is 11,367 (I know passenger and cargo in the pickup will lower the towing capacity). Thank you all very much!

Yes, and remember it drops down fast! Two adults at 200 pounds, 1 or two kids total of 150 pounds, nother 150 pounds of cargo + WDH and you're at 500 pounds off your specific payload (1450, now at only 950 pounds tongue weight remaining). So now the max trailer you can pull = 10-12% of payload = about 8000 pounds of towing.

So though the truck can pull more, it is actually limited by the required tongue weight of the trailer. That is why I didn't get the 3.92, you can't actually tow anymore than the 3.21 (though at max loads your setup might be a little less stressful on the drive train at take off than mine).

Yes sir! I’m well aware how quickly the numbers change which is why the travel trailer I’m in the market for weighs only 6,000 pounds.

Ultimately, payload and rear axle capacity (a misnomer, it is really rear spring and tire capacity) are the limiting factors. In turn, that reflects not only payload but what the actual net tongue weight is after a WD hitch is adjusted.
