Has anyone attempted to tint the tail lights on a truck with BLIS? Considering it is built into the rear tail light- does it effect such? I have priced out the "rebel or black edition" rear tail lamps that come darker then the stock OEM package and they are about 750 dollars each. Sounds silly to spend nearly 1500 to make the tail lights darker. Next best option is trying to use a film or a spray.. I have read some Ford people had success and others didn't. Maybe the shade also matters.

Nice. Did you do it yourself? Or had a body shop do it with candy apple?

I had my tint guy do it using specific tail light tint. Took close to 2 hours but came out good.

It’s a film? I had one shop say their film didn’t allow the BLIS to work

My buddy who is a painter did the lights on my Daytona and Ram. No problems with my sensors. The key he told me is that he mixes House of Kolor black candy into the clear which allows the light to shine thru and dont hinder any sensors. $100 for the Rebel and $125 for the Daytona but he did side markers too.

Yea it’s a film. I went that route cos it’s removeable just Incase. But film will not throw off the BLIS.

How hard are these taillights to tint with film? Thinking of giving a go. I've done some vinyl before, but these do look tricky.

It tinted my tail lights and the BLIS works as it should with no issues.
Did your tail lights come stock with the blacked center? Im considering changing my halogen to led and black them out like yours. VERY NICE btw!
