Damn lunatic. One thing about it that I only heard on the radio this morning as the news shows did not talk about it was the "law enforcement " that stopped the idiot was an ICE tactical team.

There is so many different stories right now. So e say it was a Border Patrol officer who's wife worked at school that **** the kid before LEO arrived. Others say it was LEO that broke into the room and shot him. There are reports the school resource officer confronted him before he entered the building, but somehow bonshots were fired and he was able to get inside. Initial reports said he only had a handgun. Now it's reported he had an AR on him, and one in his truck, which could also be his grandparents truck, but there is conflicting information about that as well.

I know. At first they said his grandmother was dead, but she’s not. I’ve been waiting to hear that he was a illegal immigrant, but that hasn’t surfaced.

In any case, this was way more tragic (any loss of life is tragic) than it could have been. Might have even been preventable. Schools are targets for mass shootings because they advertise gun free zones. Easy pickings for a criminal or mentally compromised person. If we allow school staff to be armed and trained, and lock these places down, I think it would prevent many of these shootings.

As far as guns, they don’t shoot by themselves. So banning guns from law abiding citizens will not help. Remember, criminals don’t obey laws. They will get weapons regardless. I do think there should be a stringent vetting process tho. And we coulda used that $60 billion dollars we sent Ukrainian to protect our schools.

Yea, a lot of stories going around. There was one thing that you knew for sure about the shooter. He wasn't white. I only say that because the news didn't mention race. They only do so when the lunatic is a white guy so they don't get called racist. Nothing racist about facts. Lunatics are from all races.

I saw the regime immediately jumped on the "disarm citizens so we can stomp on thier rights with no fear of retaliation" bandwagon.

Nothing can compare to tragedies like this one and sandy hook ct. you send your child to school for them to never return. My heart bleeds for those children and their families. Should have to be atleast 21 to buy a gun and to be honest with you you should have to have some credible people vouching for your sanity. These kids that are complete weirdos who have no friends and don’t socialize with people should be red flagged. These seem to be the type of monsters that are committing these horrendous acts

I don’t think it’s fair to ask someone to defend our country at 18, but can’t buys cigarettes, beer, or a firearm to protect themselves until 21. Mental health should be taken into account tho. Sad thing is, a lot bad people don’t buy their weapons at academy, etc. so the laws won’t work on them.

Agreed. The only time race should be considered is when law enforcement are actively looking for and trying to stop a criminal, because they have to know their description.

I really hope Texas makes "Beto" pay for yesterday's stunt. We used to live west of San Antonio, less than an hour from Uvalde. Can't believe he thought it was a good idea to pull that.

Well said. I am supposedly "credible" (kind of depends on who you ask really) should I be put in charge of who the constitution applies to and doesn't?
