I recently picked up a preowned 2019 from a private party in Orange County andand I wanted to bring the truck in for service but I am not sure which dealer, and specifically their Service Dept, is the best in San Diego for 2019 Rams and if anybody has some valuable feedback. I want to take care of the recalls and any TSB’s. Any help would be appreciated. PM if need be if you are not inclined to say good things as I’m just looking for honest feedback.

I just moved from Texas to San Diego and did my research, they all have equally good or bad reviews/ feedback / recommendations... ended up taking mine to San Diego CDJR at Mission Valley... and Service was equally as good or bad as back in Houston, they did what they could do, tsb / recall / service in reasonable amount of time they arranged for free loaner etc. however my big issues remain unresolved but I give tat to @RamCares ignorance trying to sit things out... hoping it goes away by itself...

Thank you. Yep I saw the same thing online and after reading the reviews I was left more confused than when I started. So it sounds like it was average but left something to be desired.

If anyone else has any feedback good or bad (beyond the online ratings) for Owners who may care slightly more than the average owner due to being on this forum I’d appreciate any input.

I was born in SD so I'm familiar with the area...using dealerrater.com and Google reviews together these two came out on top based on rating and # of reviews:
1. Bob Baker CJD in Carlsbad
2. Kearney Mesa CDJR

Yes although I would definitely put that on FCA the dealer did what they could... I’m just spoiled by bmw service...

I had a decidedly different experience with Kearney Mesa, although that was a few years ago when they were called Rancho CDJR. I currently take my truck to Poway, and that has worked out well for me.

When you say they arranged a loaner, was that a rental car like through Enterprise, or is it a true loaner car through the dealer?

Had both, once was loaner from dealer, and rental twice. However even the rental was well organized nothing to complain it’s just down the road got picked up quickly, quick rental process, overall good experience with both...

Hi rsfdevil,
You can enter your zip code here to view all certified Ram dealerships in your area: https://www.ramtrucks.com/find-dealer.html. If you see any dealerships that have received a Customer First award this means that this dealer has achieved the highest level of customer experience recognition in five core areas: people, facility, processes, customer metrics and training certification. If you ever have any questions or concerns during a service appointment feel free to send us a PM for assistance!

Thank you for all the feedback. This in particular is good to know but I would like to understand how each dealership receives this recognition ie via surveys, independent phone, service techs, ? . Can you please provide some more details?

Hi rsfdevil,
You're welcome. There are a multiple validation processes that a Dealer must maintain to certify and a number of different metrics that a Dealer must hit and maintain. For more details regarding this award, I recommend reaching out to your dealer as they will have the ability to discuss these metrics further.
