Road Trip

Did a short road trip from San Antonio to Houston this weekend. Only got 16.8 mpg at best the entire drive. I have a Laramie 5.7L that just goes into “eco mode” at random times it feels like. I do not have eTorque. I am not getting anywhere close to decent gas mileage compared to what they advertise. Also I am not driving heavy or in any way that I would think warrant bad fuel economy. Anyone else not getting what was advertised?

This has been covered a lot already, but mileage seems like it slightly improves after 3k miles. And depends on your gear ratios.
