RAM letters on Tailgate

Has anyone removed them? I'm considering this, but don't know if there are alignment holes on the tailgate for the letters, or are they just double sided taped on?

I've replaced them when I painted new ones red. There is thick double sided foam tape and tabs that hold it to the tailgate.

Where did you find those letters for sale? All I can find is the ones for the DS generation?
