Possible oil leak on oil filler neck

I’m pretty sure I did not spill any oil while performing my last oil change but today I noticed what looks to be oil leaking/seeping out of the seams in the oil filler neck (looks to be make of multiple pieces) and at the base of the filler neck.

I cleaned it up and will recheck it in a few hundred miles, just figured I’d give a heads up so others can check theirs, it’s kind of hard to see with that big plastic decor on top of the engine.

Soap gun it and hose it down. I do that to mine after every change.

That seems to be dark oil not fresh clear new oil. Make sure your cap is on snug and make sure the gasket is there and didn't fall off.

Your right, the oil doesn’t look clean so it must be coming out of somewhere. I’ve cleaned up the filler neck and reinstalled the filler cap (gasket looks good and cap is tight). Will give it a few miles and check it again.

Check and make sure you oil isn't overfilled. Check your airfilter and see if it "burped" up any oil into it.

I haven’t put many miles on the truck since I cleaned it off, but the area still looks damp. No big drips or runs from what I’ve seen yet.

So there is definitely seepage of oil at the filler neck on my truck, the area was clean before my last trip up north of about 3500km and now it is very wet with oil.
