Hi all

With the 5th Gen still fairly new, I'm struggling to find suitable images or galleries that feature various aftermarket wheels on our trucks. So I'm looking to this community to point me in the direction as to what they think are the best looking wheels for 5th Gen 1500. I will be putting a 3.5" lift and level on the truck and running 35x12.5.

Best looking will be stock. Aftermarket wheels look cheap.
Not a universal truth, but there are a lot of cheap (and cheap-looking) aftermarket wheels out there. And even a great-looking wheel can look bad when it’s a mismatch for the design language of the vehicle it’s installed on.

I like my OEM Longhorn wheels a lot; I’d only consider changing them if I decided to lift the truck and needed wider wheels.

OEM wheels usually are built to higher standards as well. I've scene a lot of people with aftermarket wheels have peeling paint and other issues after just a couple years.

I agree about the OEM Longhorn wheels. I just swapped the OEM tires with Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I like my set up.

Dont over think it. Decide what is aesthetically important to you, what's in the budget etc. Geta proper fitment offset etc

The wheels that looked good on a 4th gen will Likely look good on a 5th generation as well.
Avoid overly generalized opinions such as all aftermarket wheels are crap. We know that's not true. Yes OEM wheels are generally of higher quality but that doesn't mean there are not quality aftermarket wheels out there as well.

I personally dont like the offset of many stock wheels. They appear to be too "tucked in". But I wouldn't dare say all stock wheels suck. Ram gives you many stock options to choose from.

Aftermarket wheels allow you to personalize your vehicle so that it stands out.

Good luck. Keep us posted on your choice.

I think it depends on the look you are wanting to do. I would suggest a different rim if you have the sport package, a limited with chrome bumper, longhorn with color match and depending on the color of your truck.

If it is a sport I would go for a method type wheel in an 18 inch that is only black with no chrome accents. If you had a black longhorn or limited, I might suggest something like a hostile alpha that has black with chrome accents to it

Went with Fuel Mavericks because I got a great deal for them and a set of Ridge Grapplers. I think they compliment the truck really well. Wheels are very personal. Get what talks to you (or stick with OEM if that's your call.) customwheeloffsets.com has tons of pictures. And there's ton's more on here and google images.

This is like asking yourself what type of female do you like?
Some of us like them short, chubby, tall, skinny, wide hips, big chest, small waist, etc...

Hard to answer. As for looking cheap, there are different tiers so of course that will affect the appearance of a wheel.

I am trying to visualize these on my white truck.
Don't want to do black, thoughts?

Custom Offsets has a pretty good gallery that may give you some ideas.

Thanks for this Biga. It was very helpful. I found at least two wheels I wasn't otherwise aware of that I think look great.

Funny, I'm looking at a White Sport but I'm seriously considering the Hostile Alpha in Asphalt (all black with the chrome "bolts" aroiund the outer edge). I believe it will make a nice contrast.
