Hello everyone my first post on this. My 2019 rebel I decided to upgrade the factory tires to 295/70/18. I wanted something that wouldn’t kill my gas or factory ride. So far pretty pleased with the results. Only a 2” ready lift level kit.

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on the tires...truck looks great!

I ran this exact tire (Nitto Ridge Grappler LT295/70R18 @ 34.3 inches) on my Titan Pro 4X and slightly larger (Nitto Ridge Grappler LT295/65R20 @ 34.8 inches) on my built Tundra and can report that both sets rode very nicely on- and off-road in both dry and wet conditions! They handled great and were surprisingly quiet on the highway too! The only issue with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers is that they are heavy and you feel the extra weight. I was thinking of going with the LT295/70R18 again but decided to keep the weight down so considering the Goodyear Duratracs in same size but with added benefit of being slightly taller (34.8 inches) and 10 lbs lighter per tire. But then I see your Nittos and now second guessing myself as I really enjoyed those!

Typically no real issue with a 2-inch leveling kit on the Rebel if you stay with a smaller and narrower 35 (<34.8 @ under 12-inches of tire width). You might fit a true 35 and/or slightly wider tire but may have to do some additional trimming and I suspect it will rub under full lock and/or during compression when turning (like backing out of an inclined driveway) on the stock wheels. If you go off-roading any, I would limit the tires to 34-inch max. but you'll still have wheel articulation/ride quality issues over the rough stuff as the leveling kit will restrict your downward travel. Most folks never take their off-road biased Rebels off-road so you'll find plenty of folks reporting that the 35s will fit fine for normal street use (with some minor trimming if any).

Honestly I didn’t want to loose comfort and daily driving practicality so opted for the 295/70/18. With the bigger tires you definitely feel the heaviness but you could fit bigger tires I think.

You probably wrong with the weight difference between the nitto and duratracs... at 275 70 18 the duratracs on my ram are 57 pounds and the nittos are 62 or 63 pounds why but the nitros are 295 70 Sonia bigger but only 5 to 6 pounds heavier. I can’t feel the difference at all .. my trucks still drives smooth and it doesn’t have the road noise of the stock duratracs...

Based on the Nitto website, the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in LT295/70R18 size is 69.44 lbs per tire. If you compare to the factory spec'd Duratrac with LT275/70R18 listed at 55 lbs per tire, the up size results in +14.4 lbs per tire or almost 60 lbs of total additional rolling mass (before wheels). Maybe I am more sensitive to turn-in feel than most as I noticed the change on both of my previous vehicles (including the Titan where I kept the stock wheels). But I totally agree with you that the Nittos are very smooth riding and quieter than the Duratracs. I really think the Nitto Ridge Grapplers are one of the top tires out there that I have ever run with!

So essentially went from 33 to 34 inch tires, which is exactly what I plan on doing after my level and switch to Method -12 offset wheels.

The 34" tires shouldn't be too bad, it only effects your mph speedo calibration by about 1 mph at 65 (shows 64), which I suspect the mpg drop to be around 1mpg or so. Good compromise to a 35" set.

Rebel w 5100’s for the level. I have the weather tech mud flaps. Just wondering if I’ll have to remove them if I jump u in size since they protrude from fender well. 🤔

Hi there, I have a 2019 stock rebel with air suspension. I was looking at the same exact tires for mine. Wondering how you like the Falkens (it looks like you've had them for over a year now)? Any issues with road noise? Also how are they on wet surfaces? I live in FL so it rains a lot. That's the one complaint I have with the Duratracs is that they are horrible in the rain after about 15-20k miles on them. Looking for something with a little better handle.
