Map lights in overhead console stopped working

Has anyone had this issue?
The two map lights on the overhead console aren't working anymore.
I've tried hitting the "On" button for the interior lighting and various combinations of the dials for ambient and instrument lighting, but nothing has worked so far...
I just noticed it last night, so haven't had time to dive in and figure out fuse and fuse box location to check that.
Hopefully it's just user error... it would suck to have to chase down electrical issues on a truck with less than 3000 miles on it!

Add me to the list. My pano controls still work but the back half of the overhead console doesn't work (lights, call assist, tailgate release). I took it in to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out after about an hour and asked that I bring it back for a longer period of time when I can.

GREAT... I sold my Avalanche after 10yrs because I didn't want to chase down the electrical issues it was having.
Keep us posted, please.

I believe a few other forumites had the same issue a while back and it turned out the fuse had popped out; reseating the fuse solved the issue. You might be able to find more detail through the search function, since I'm just going off of memory.

Thanks for the info!
I'll definitely be trying that the first chance I get.

I read on here that someone pulled the panel to get access to the switch up top and re-seated the connection to make the switches and buttons work again. Tried to find it for ya, but searching "map light" only searches for "light" because the word "map" is too short... So there's that, lol

Do you happen to know how involved that process is?

Unfortunately (fortunately?) I don't my friend, I haven't picked up my truck yet, so I haven't had any issues yet, lol
(Hopefully I don't!) I'll keep looking around for ya, I know I read it on here either last week or two weeks ago

Thanks!
I've tried a few searches on this forum and another, but haven't found anything yet.
Hopefully they work out all the kinks before you take delivery.

UPDATE:
This forum is great! Thanks to all.
The overhead lights and other overhead console buttons are working now.
Followed the instructions found in the other threads to remove the overhead console and re-seat all the connections.
FYI at first I just tried re-seating the two main connections, but that didn't seem to work. Re-seating the cross-connection worked.
Could be that all connections needed to be re-seated (not just the cross-connection).
Thanks again everyone!

Just wanted to say that I had the same issue, and the same fix worked for me. I find it very odd that I also had to disconnect the "cross cable" (goes between two connectors on the overhead console and does not connect to the truck itself) in order to resolve my issue. I wouldn't have guessed it possible that disconnecting the entire console from the truck wouldn't be enough (I had it sitting in my lap when I disconnected the cross cable). Thanks for all of the info!

I have this problem too, just started happening - worked before

*update: Same issue as stated above, everything north of the pano roof controls aren’t working including tailgate drop. Tailgate drops works by key fob however. Good thing I didn’t opt for that SOS service and need it lol.

I just had the same issue, and all the steps outlined here fixed the issue.
