Mad as hell with the new 12 inch screen

I've had a dodge truck since 2004 and have always been pleased until now... problem with the 12" high dollar sound system. My problem is the radio cuts off every 2min 40sec and restarts which is a pain in the a$$ trying to conduct business with clients on the bluetooth speaker. I have almost crashed trying to get the phone when this happens twice. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix please let me know because the dodge service department says it's a update issue and the radio will let me know when its fixed or has an update.
