Hi Guy's

Have a 1500 Longhorn Southfork that's supposed to be here in a week and was wondering about a Wrap on the lower Mud area's.

I originally wanted the Two tone finish but can't find a 1500 with all the options I wanted other then a solid colored one.

Has anyone tried to wrap the Lower panels on the Ram?

I haven’t, but it should be pretty easy since there is no rough texture on the lower part of the truck.

I haven’t wrapped my truck but I did wrap a previous suv so I can give a couple tips to help. Since you are wanting to do a two tone on the bottom I would get a good laser level and knifeless tape. I imagine you would be wrapping the front bumper and an area that will lift would be recessed areas. A good work around is to use inlays for those areas first so you can use knifeless tape when doing the flat portions and just have a tiny bit of overlap and know one will be able to notice. Adhesion promoter really helps on the underside of corners. Hope that helps a bit.

You can wrap anything with the right technique. If you have a paint protection film installation shop around you might be a good idea just to have them cut the pattern for you on their plotter/cutter then you can install yourself if you like to save some money.
You may also want to check out xpel film, they have a PPF that is meant for rocker guard coverage, it's kind of textured though but provides the black colour texturing and PPF self healing properties in one...
