Lift Install and rack and pinion question!

Looking at my instructions for the Rough Country lift and step 2 is disconnect the electric rack and pinion. Do they mean the harness attached to it or remove the fuse? Sorry for the idiot question, but it does not really say or show a pic for that step. TIA
