JL audio Upgrade....

Looking for some insight has anyone here been successful in upgrading there door speakers on a 2019 -2021 ram sport, I have the JL audio c2 6.5 component speakers... however crutch field states that they wont fit but the c2600 will fit, can anyone clarify that they will before I remove the door or return them.

Also has anyone removed their back seat and mounted mdf or similar to make a amp rack or board, if so can you post pictures thanks

Your JL 6.5's will fit if you fab up or buy some plates, the actual diameter of those things is barely over 5 1/2"... I carved out the factory 6x9's a bit and mounted 8's and even that didn't take much. Mounting depth to the window is about 3 3/4" with a 3/8" plate. Here are some amp rack pics for you - there are metal stand-offs used for cable harness retaining plugs on the back wall that you can screw into to attach a rack (if you re-route the wiring harnesses first). Lots of room behind the seats. Good luck!
