Installed the Weathertech low profile hood protector.

Installed the low profile hood protector today. Didn't realize at first it was going to be a stick on but went with it anyway. Fairly easy install. Just place it, mark with tape and lift it off. clean with alcohol wipes and provided cleaning cloth. Then pull an inch off 3M tape underside and place on hood, line up and pull backing off as you press down. It was a little bit of a PITA to line up solo but got it done. It's cold out so I used a hair dryer to heat it up a bit as I set it.

It looks good. Does it stick on the hood flat or is there a lip that wraps under the front edge of the hood?

I went the AVS version. Nothing goes underneath the lip of the hood. Mine is Peel-n-Stick, as well.
Two rows of that 3M tape. One along each edge. It is so close to edge fo hood,
I do not see how anything can get to paint. Reason I got it. Effort to keep the rock chips down, along hood lips edge.

Son pointed out that my last truck did not have one and it got a few chips.
Usually have them on all my trucks. simple oversight.

Not sure how much help this is going to be, further up the hood but love the sleek look.

I could find nothing that actually mounted underneath the hood with screws or bolts. Did find few underhood mounts that mounted with tape.
