2021 40 k rebel change oil every 6 k 7500I'm interested in how many miles people have on there eco diesel and what if any problems they have had. Maybe add your oil change interval, and if you have had it tuned in as well.
What is the DEF price at the pump compared to the boxed jugs?66k Miles
Oil every 7500, fuel filter ever 15k.
DEF from the pump at a local Thornton's Station.
Never done a drop of any additives. No Tune, maybe after warranty is up. So far so good!
Honestly don't recall exactly but I want to say it was 3-4$ per gallon. Last time I filled I was low with the "Will not restart" warning after so many miles and I think it was ~$16 to top it off. What is the DEF price at the pump compared to the boxed jugs?
Usually about a 1/4 of the price. What is the DEF price at the pump compared to the boxed jugs?
cdsons,120,000 miles, I've used Rotella T-6 since first oil change, also run truck stop DEF. I haven't had any mechanical issues yet, and the only issue I have had were that the auto high beams would disable themselves for no reason.
I don't use any additives.cdsons,
I was hoping to see lots of trucks with High Milage on them without any issues, I have 17,000 miles and my fuel pump blew up and truck was down for 6 weeks. Nice to see someone using Shell Rotella oil without any issues. I worked at a shell station in the 70's and the mechanic said it was thew best oil ever. I want to use it but don't want to void the warranty, I change the oil every 4000 miles myself. I not to concerned about the DEF but I'm thinking about using an additive, you didn't mention you use...do you? Thanks for your reply.
Stop using Rotella - it's not supposed to be used in these engines. Stellantis even put out a bulletin telling dealers to stop putting it in vehicles. Your service department is apparently a bunch of ignoramuses.5w40 Shell Rotella T6 for all oil changes,
