I was at Costco this weekend and noticed a beautiful 5th gen RAM with my color and really liked the suspension/tire setup. It's exactly how I'd like my truck to sit.

Can you help me determine/guess what they're running so that I can get an idea of pricing? Also, are those rims stock 22s? I'd like to keep my stock night edition 22s as well.
Thanks in advance!

That’s a sport edition laramie with the charcoal 22’s. They are stock, but the tires (I think nitto ridge grapplers) aren't. It also appears it has a 2” level kit.

here’s a replica wheel of what they have: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/VXW-S733

So I can keep my stock 22's night edition wheels which I love and just get the Mopar 2" lift? Do you have any idea what tires those are?

Also, I heard the Mopar 2" lift still has some rake, this truck didn't have noticeable rake, am I missing something?

Yes, night train wheels are the same thing, just black (depending on when ram decided to put those wheels on the truck).

For the level kit, It depends on the truck. For some reason some trucks look level with a 2.5 inch front lift, and some look level with a 2 inch front lift. You could experiment and see what works for you, or you could buy Bilstein 5100s or an eibach kit like I’m getting today to have adjustable front shocks to get the height that you want. There’s no way to truly tell what that person has without sticking your head in the fender well and looking.

as far as the tires, I mentioned earlier that they looked like nitto ridge grapplers

Another option is 285/65/20, which is what I'm doing on my stock night edition wheels with 19mm offset. Also have the 2" Mopar kit. Tons of posts on 285 vs 295. 295 is a little bit of a craps shoot, since not all tires measure out the same and you may run into UCA rubbing issues. But 285 I feel is a sweet spot between stock and overdoing it.

Yes, the Mopar kit will have rake. The Mopar kit is just taking your truck as is now and raising it 2", so any rake you have now will manifest itself with the lift. What i did was leave off the rear spacers and it's dead level. Will be putting helper springs in the back to raise it up and counter any squat from towing, hauling, etc. I had big plans to use the ORP spring conversion up front, but the spring was so compressed, it would negate the ride.

I want to make absolute certain I will not void warranty. Sounds like I'll have to deal with a bit of rake and just do the Mopar lift right? Also, they only come in 2"? Any idea how much the lift costs and also how much those nitto grapplers run?

Last question, do you know of any members with the night edition wheels with the Mopar 2" lift I can see pictures of?

Very last question, will I have to calibrate the speedo?

The Mopar lift is a safe lift and is backed by a Ram/Mopar warranty. Plus I feel it’s the right amount of lift, especially with a family and dog. As far as I know, 2” is the only lift height I know of put out by Mopar. Thats not saying it won’t change in another 5 years.

My lift ran me right around $1200 and cost me $350 from a local shop to install. That included a front end alignment after the lift. Also a check back after 200 miles to retorque the nuts and bolts.

If you check through the Wheels and Tires section on this forum (which I did pouring over and over page after page of wheels and tires),you’ll see a descent amount of members running bigger tires with the stock rims. It’s the inspiration that pushed me to run my stock wheels.

Ridge Grapplers are treated like gold, and the prices show. I think for a 285/65 set of 4 you’re looking at $1700. I went with the BF Goodrich KO2s. Proven tires, cheaper and have been around longer than I have been alive.

You will most definitely need to get your speedometer recalibrated. At lower speeds you may be off by a few MPH, but highway speeds you’ll be way off.

Check this site out, it really helped me visualize the offset, tire size and even tells you how much your Speedo will be off

Check this thread out, posts #11 & 19 have members running stock wheels on bigger tires:

And this is the best thread, lots of eye candy:

Just to give you perspective on how a 285/65/20 will work with the Mopar lift, here’s pics of my setup after I got the tires on this week:
