I want to make absolute certain I will not void warranty. Sounds like I'll have to deal with a bit of rake and just do the Mopar lift right? Also, they only come in 2"? Any idea how much the lift costs and also how much those nitto grapplers run?
Last question, do you know of any members with the night edition wheels with the Mopar 2" lift I can see pictures of?
Very last question, will I have to calibrate the speedo?
The Mopar lift is a safe lift and is backed by a Ram/Mopar warranty. Plus I feel it’s the right amount of lift, especially with a family and dog. As far as I know, 2” is the only lift height I know of put out by Mopar. Thats not saying it won’t change in another 5 years.
My lift ran me right around $1200 and cost me $350 from a local shop to install. That included a front end alignment after the lift. Also a check back after 200 miles to retorque the nuts and bolts.
If you check through the Wheels and Tires section on this forum (which I did pouring over and over page after page of wheels and tires),you’ll see a descent amount of members running bigger tires with the stock rims. It’s the inspiration that pushed me to run my stock wheels.
Ridge Grapplers are treated like gold, and the prices show. I think for a 285/65 set of 4 you’re looking at $1700. I went with the BF Goodrich KO2s. Proven tires, cheaper and have been around longer than I have been alive.
You will most definitely need to get your speedometer recalibrated. At lower speeds you may be off by a few MPH, but highway speeds you’ll be way off.
Check this site out, it really helped me visualize the offset, tire size and even tells you how much your Speedo will be off
