I am about to ask my dealer on a price to swap out the stock 20" tires on my Limited for something a little bit wider and E rated. I would like a tire that is a little bit wider, but not sticking way out of the fenders. They would have to go on the existing stock setup with NO lift (air suspension LTD), and I want to make sure they will not rub. Does anyone have 285/60/20 or 285/65/20's on non-lifted 2019 1500's and how do they look and fit? I am leaning toward BFG KO2's, but not married to them. I hear Nittos will rub. Any info today would be awesome. Pics of your tires if you do this would be killer!! Much appreciated (PS- I did search, but most are for lifts)

I’ve been on the hunt for the largest tires for stock suspension as well.

I believe 285/65r20 is the max size on stock (non-air) suspension without any level/lifts or off-road package.

I’m looking to upgrade to bigger tires (leaking Duratrac) with the stock 20” wheels on the black appearance package on the Big Horn.

Just put on a set of 33x12.5x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on mine. 20x9 0 offset rim. I have air suspension and no rubbing on all heights.

Can you post a pic of your truck looking straight down the side from the back and/or front (trying to see how flush +0 offset w/ 12.5" wide tire is). Judging by the shadows I think I can tell how far the tires poke, but would like to see a shot that shows it better if you have one.

That looks real good... I've been trying to decide between +1 and +19mm offset wheels and I think I'm going to go with the +1 and the 305/55's.

So I hated the moto metal logo on the center cap. So I made my own center cap.
Attached is before, after and on the rim.
Let me know what you guys think.

I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow. I have an appointment to have a set of BFG KO2s put on (285/65/20). I have a Laramie with Air Suspension. I've had 2 sets of BFG KOs on my last Ram and I won't buy anything else. also, I believe the 285/65/20 are about $300 less than the 285/60/20.

Let me know and post pics! I bet it will look great. Really, 285/65's are cheaper than 60's?

I don't have a photo yet and sorry this took so long to post. I got a set of KO2 285/65/20 on and I have a stock set up at this point. I do not have any rubbing in Aero, Normal, Off-Road One, Off-Road Two. When I'm in Entry/Exit Mode I don't have rubbing when the tires are straight or partially turned. I never drive in this mode so I'm not too concerned but I will say it is close in this mode. I am considering doing a 2" level or 1/4"-1/2" spacer or different wheels with an more aggressive offset (current stock wheel offset is +19). For now, I don't have any rubbing at all in any mode I drive in. I also did a Hypertech Speedo Calibration.

This is on OE 9" wheels?

Went through this battle... here you go.

285/65R20 will fit stock air suspension but tight. I downgraded to 275/65R20 and they run nice. I do have the off road group but my riding partners all run 275/65R20 on air ride 19 1500.

@Webbd30 how do you like the handling of those 275/65r20 Ridge Grapplers? Do they handle good at high speed corners; like back road highways? Just curious since they're pretty tall but not super wide.

They handle like my sports car.

They hug the road tight, and move like a car would.

No complaints from my end best tire I’ve run.

275 65 20 clearance with gator back mud flaps and 2” RL. Rims are 20x9 1mm. Without mudflats there would be about 3/4”. 285 65 20’s would bee very tight, I don’t think they would fit my truck without modifying. Non air and no off-road package.
