Just picked up a 2019 Limted a few weeks ago. Was wondering if others had fit/finish issues. My vehicle was delivered with a big nick in the rear console trim piece, rusted seat brackets and bolts under the rear seats, an indented line approx 2 inches long in the leather dash next to the 12" screen, a 4 inch long white mark in the paint on the driver's door sill and a sloppy cutout around the limited logo on the center console. Very unacceptable for a $67,000 truck. Dealer fixed trim piece but waiting on everything else. Not happy.

I also have the two inch indented line on my dash, figured it was a scar the cow got. you can see it when the sun hits it just right. i was afraid to mention it to the dealer because i figured the fix was a dash removal. if it wasn't done perfect i figured it would be worse than living with it, squeaks , rattles, marred trim pieces ,etc. let us know what the fix is.

Hey MJP and dalailama23,

We're so sorry to hear this - this is certainly not how we want to hear your new trucks were delivered. If either of you need assistance working with your dealers to address this, please DM us.

Thank you. I am going to reach out to the service manager today. I met with him two weeks ago to go over these issues and haven't heard anything since. Once I follow up with him I will let you know.

Wow! That's very interesting. Mine is just to the left of the 12 inch screen and it's in the leather. It almost looks as if the sheet of leather was folded or creased at that point prior to them fitting it into the dash. You hit the nail on the head when you said when the Sun hits it it's most apparent. I totally agree that I do not want the dash swapped out although the dealer did offer this as an option. I think Ram should reimburse us for the full cost of the dash and installation expense. I am open to other suggestions buy Ram. My dealer offered to have an interior specialist look at it which has not been done yet. If it definitely can't be fixed in a satisfactory way Ram needs to make good on it. Maybe a lifetime extended warranty?

Although I am hoping the dealer will resolve these fit and finish issues I really dont believe it should be on the dealer. It comes down to poor quality control at the factory which resulted in all of these issues slipping through to delivery. I believe Ram Corporate needs to take care of these items directly.

Sorry to hear. I bought mine off the lot, and it had perhaps 30 miles on the ODO. Truck was flawless in every way. Only thing they had misplaced was the floor mats, which they promptly pulled out of another truck on the lot. Everything else was great.

I don't think this would be acceptable for a brand new $20,000 car/truck either. File a complaint with the dealer and have them replace all the parts

Those rusted brackets and bolts could be a sign of a leak from the rear window or antenna.

Dealer said all the Jeeps in the lot have surface rust on seat brackets and bolts too. They said it's from the extended periods of humidity we've had and the fact that the vehicles are closed while sitting on the lot. I checked the floors and surrounding areas carefully and absolutely no signs of water leaks...car is bone dry and no musty smell. Just smells like new car with leather. The rust is surface rust and appears the wipe off but still not cool. I haven't removed it yet as I was leaving it be for the dealer to inspect. Looks like crap when the seats are up.

I happened to finally look up under my dash because I was hardwiring in a dashcam. I noticed that some brackets had surface rust. I am guessing some parts sat somewhere they shouldn't have. Still, it was surface rust and I can't see it so I don't expect it to be a problem. Other than that, I didn't have any of these issues. But my truck did sit at the VASC Auto Auction yard for 2 weeks before being shipped and that is an extra quality control facility. So maybe they fixed my stuff. Not sure. I was just surprised at how many problems I didn't have after reading these forums for 2 months.

Glad you didnt have issues. I love the truck but think its unacceptable to have some of the fit finish issues I have seen in mine. It's too expensive for such poor quality control. I have also overlooked a few other issues just so I can enjoy the truck. I've owned 20+ cars in my day and really never had any cosmetic issues on delivery. Good luck with yours.

I finally got a response from the dealer Service Manager about bringing my truck in to begin addressing multiple delivery fit and finish issues and a Uconnect issue. I am dropping it off Friday 11/16. I will let you know how it turns out but I may need your help in the future. I want the truck 100% right as it was very expensive and is barely 2 months old. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

My Longhorn has a $70,000 window sticker. I optioned it up.

Pano headliner doesn't fit correctly, ticks and clicks when driving. Also sounds like a bolt is rolling around in the dash. I hear that when the vehicle starts or stops moving.

Totally unacceptable quality control at the factory.

I'm afraid to let the dealer touch it for rear they'll make things much worse from ripping and tearing in an attempt to fix the issues.

I hear ya. I found a few more fit and finish items to add to my list of things that haven't been addressed. The Limited plate on the console looks like crap because the cutout it fits into is all uneven. There is also a defect in the driver's door glass. Looks like some sort of scrape between the laminated glass. It isn't on the glass it's in between. Cant be cleaned or scraped off. The yoke on the driveshaft is also rusted to hell. The truck was built in August so it's barely 3 months old. Add these to my laundry list of quality control failures. Dealer says the only way to fix my dash leather defect is "fill and finish" otherwise they have to swap the entire dash. Imagine doing either on a $67,000 2 month old vehicle? I am getting pissed and would like FCA to do something to make me whole again for the poor quality control issues. Good luck with your issues.
