I am finally going to install my RL 3.5" kit. I picked it up in March but wasn't sure if I wanted something bigger. I don't tow anything, and the only off road I do is getting to mountain biking trail heads. With that in mind, I don't want E rated tires to make the ride even more stiff than the preload spacer lift already does. Would you go with Nitto Ridge Grapplers in a 275/60r20 (33"), or a Terra Grappler G2 in 275/65r20 (34"). More Sidewall vs. More Aggressive?

I'd go with 35" BFG KO2's even thought its an E.
35x12.50R20 for a 3-1/2” lift, if you’re considering 33or34 inch tires you could’ve got by with a 2 inch level, you’re gonna have too much gap above your tire to the bottom of the wheelwell, imho

From the experience of working on trucks with all the different sizes and different tires...and my own personal trucks...I recommend the General Grabber AT2 tires. Mine were a 35x12.5R20 on my 2007 RAM 1500. Had about 40k on them and sold the truck and it still had lots of tread left. Never chopped up and they were soooooo quiet. Unfortunately I didn’t lift my current RAM to fit that size so I couldn’t get Generals. So I needed up getting the Falken Wildpeaks 285/60r20. I’ve got 400 miles on them. Good tire. Pretty good grip too in the snow and wet pavement. Haven’t tried much dirt or mud but seem to be good. But there were louder than the generals the by a landslide. I noticed a slight hum at 30mph where I wouldn’t hear the Generals going 80. And yes I know this was two different trucks but I figured I would put in my 2 cents

Here are a couple of pics of my 14 Ram with 35-12.50-20 Gladiator MT's. I have an identical 19 now and plan to do the same setup on it soon

Why not 35"?
Weight/mpg .....275/65's are 47lbs each 35's are 65ish. plus 3.21 gearing and I don't think I really need E rated tires. Recently transfered work closer to home so all city driving, mpg down to 13 from 18, which is fine. 15-20lbs more to gain a .5inch of sidewall doesn't seem worth it for my needs.
